Dr. Raymond Bakke |
 |
Dr. Bakke, though
raised in a rural farm background, found himself in pastoral ministry in inner city
Chicago and Seattle.
God has used him around the world in over 200 cities and six continents,
speaking on resolving issues in urban ministry.
Dr. Bakke is Founder and Executive Director of International Urban
Associates, an organization that seeks to
find
and develop leaders
who take the whole gospel with the whole church to whole cities with its
network of more than 100 church and mission leaders in some of the
world’s
largest cities. Dr.
Bakke also is professor of global urban ministry
at Northwest
Graduate School for
the Ministry in Seattle. He has degrees from Trinity Evangelical
Divinity School
and McCormick Theological Seminary.
Dr. Bakke is the author of
The Urban
Christian, A Theology as Big as the City, A Biblical Word for an Urban
World, and
other publications. |

Dr. Alberto Reyes |
 |
Dr. Reyes is
President of the Baptist University Of The Americas in San Antonio,
Texas. He has established and pastored churches in
El
Paso, Dallas and San Antonio, and taught at Howard
Payne University and
Truett Seminary
at Baylor University as well as ministered in Mexico,
Brazil, Spain, and North Africa. Dr. Reyes has also been appointed by
the White House to
chair the Hispanic Task Force on Hispanic Academic Excellence for the Department of Education. He is a graduate of Angelo State University and has an
MDiv and DMin from Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary
in Fort Worth and is currently working on a Ph.D. in
leadership at Andrews University. He has written on
network evangelism
among Hispanics and on
emerging Hispanic leadership. |

Dr. Rodney Woo |
 |
Dr. Woo is the
pastor of Wilcrest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He has also
pastored in Cleburne, Texas. Dr. Woo teaches as adjunct professor for
Houston Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,
Houston. Under his leadership, Wilcrest has become a multicultural
church with some 40 nationalities represented. Wilcrest has served as a
catalyst to help other ethnic churches become
more effective. He is
a graduate of East Texas Baptist College and holds the Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist
Theological
Seminary in Fort
Worth.
Dr. Woo is currently writing a book with
Dr. Michael Emerson
about the Wilcrest experience. |

Dr. George Yancey |
 |
Dr. Yancey is the
Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of
North Texas in Denton, Texas. With his wife, they founded Reconciliation
Consulting. He is a regular speaker for Christian
conferences on multiracial issues in ministry. Dr. Yancey holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas,
Austin. He has co-authored and authored many books and articles
including,
United by Faith; One Body, One Spirit; Who is White? Latinos; Asians and
the New Black/non-Black
Divide;
Just Don’t
Marry

Jeanette Yep |
 |
Jeanette Yep is Vice
President of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and Director of
Multiethnic Ministries. She has been on staff with
InterVarsity for over 25 years at various levels of campus
and national
leadership roles.
“Auntie Jeanette”
is recognized
by many for her creative role as M.C. of the Urbana Missionary Convention in 1990,
‘93 and ‘96.
She has contributed significantly
to IVCF’s
commitment to
multi-ethnicity in make-up and outreach. Jeanette
Yep graduated from Mount Holyoke and Northwestern
University and has studied at Trinity
Evangelical Divinity
School. She is the author of
Following Christ
